I desire to help people thrive. I believe this comes through supporting them in living in harmony with their values, developing and becoming their best self, finding meaning/purpose, actively engaging with what offers vitality, contributing to others, and forming high quality relationships.
I help those I work with overcome barriers to effectively meet their physical and psychological needs. I aid them in better understanding how to learn from the past, prepare for the future, and live in the present. Understanding of internal experiences (e.g., thoughts, emotions, memories, urges) is gained so they can productively manage them. Through this process negative symptoms diminish and functioning improves.
I use an integrated approach to psychotherapy that includes evidence-based elements of ACT, CBT, DBT, EFT, and others as clinically necessary.
I provide empathy, respect, genuineness, and compassion to every person with whom I meet. I listen to their story, honor their values, and support their goal achievement.
I value helping every person create a life with which they are deeply satisfied.
